Glen McLeod

Glen is independently recognised as one of Western Australia’s preeminent environmental and planning lawyers and has over 47 years experience in that field. After many years as a senior partner in major national and international law firms, he established Glen McLeod Legal in 2012 as an environmental and planning specialty practice. The firm is independently recognised as ‘First Tier’ in its area by Doyles, an independent guide to the legal profession. The practice has subspecialisations in development law, valuation, land acquisitions, injurious affection compensation contamination and climate change law.
Glen’s skills include the analysis of and advising on complex issues in the above areas, litigation and the strategic management of approval processes.
He is also known for his interest in passing on and extending his knowledge through lecturing, research and contributions to planning and environmental law publications. He is a former board member of the Environmental Protection Authority, an Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University and a Council member of the International Bar Association’s Section on Energy, Environment, Resources and Infrastructure Law.
