Josh Walsh

Josh joined McLeod Fisher & Hamdorf in February 2023 as a law clerk while completing his studies, and was admitted to practice in June 2026.

Josh has a particular interest in corporate governance and its interaction with environmental law. He has assisted on the provision of advice in relation to environmental licencing, project proponents' compliance with planning legislation and regulations, and project proponents' compliance with environmental regulations including clearing regulations.

On the firm's litigious matters, Josh regularly assists at all stages of litigation, including preparing matters for trial and State Administrative Tribunal hearings. He also has experience in review of leases for renewable energy operations and waste processing facilities, along with review of agreements for the provision of waste services. He regularly assists in the preparation of deputations and submissions to local councils and the WAPC on behalf of proponents and has assisted clients in relation to the environmental appeals process.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in environmental science) from Murdoch University.
